TORONTO – May 25, 2011: Nulogy Corporation, the leading provider of contract packaging management software, was invited to speak at the 2011 Canadian Undergraduate Technology Conference (CUTC), held this month at the University of Toronto.
The conference brings together top students with international industry experts to discuss the latest innovative technologies. Past speakers have included Mike Lazaridis, President and co-CEO of Research in Motion, Werner Vogels, Vice President of Amazon, as well as key individuals from Microsoft and Google. At this year’s conference, Nulogy’s CEO Jason Tham and COO Kevin Wong each addressed students from across the country.
Wong, who leads Nulogy’s Product Management group, spoke of the company’s agile product development experience to share insight into how Nulogy’s design team is incorporating this leading-edge methodology into their product development process. His presentation discussed balancing the key principles of design and user experience in an agile environment, ultimately helping to build a better product. “It is important for our design team that our process is agile to ensure that our customers receive the most valuable and usable software as quickly as possible,” said Wong.
Speaking about business in the technology industry, Tham communicated the need to think beyond the design of a product and focus on ensuring there is a need in the market. “Being at the right time and place is not an accident. Find the parade and jump in front of it,” he told the engaged audience while encouraging students to design products for growing industries.
Nulogy was excited to participate in this year’s CUTC event, and to share their expertise with the technology industry’s next generation.
