Nulogy was started by a group of University of Waterloo engineering graduates with experience in several successful technology companies, as well as a professor with extensive research and consulting experience.

Evolving from what Red Herring Magazine called “one of the most exciting startups of the year in North America” in 2009, Nulogy is going through a period of rapid expansion and are excited to be building a great business by helping other businesses be successful!

Our Leadership

The Nulogy management team has a well-rounded background of experience, having previously held international positions at Microsoft, Kellogg’s, Magna International, Nortel, Research in Motion (RIM), Corel, Ericsson and several successful technology startups.

  • Jasony

    Jason Tham — Chief Executive Officer

    Jason takes a personal approach to corporate development and leadership, whether it is getting to know customer needs or initiating the next stage of growth for the company he co-founded. Jason has gained valuable experience working at companies renowned for their supply-chains. At one of Kellogg’s most automated production facilities in the world, he analysed practices in continuous improvement and packaging. Earlier in his career at Magna International, Jason worked for the Symatec Group, responsible for new vehicle prototyping, research and development, as well as working in corporate planning where he applied methods for cost reduction within the supply-chain.

  • Jasony

    Kevin Wong — Chief Operating Officer

    Prior to co-founding Nulogy, Kevin performed strategic planning at Microsoft's Silicon Valley Campus for their next-generation enhanced television services, and was a program manager for their t-commerce and data warehousing efforts in the MSTV server group. He also worked as an interaction designer at a boutique marketing firm in Boca Raton, Florida, and as an IT consultant where he worked on a plan to introduce the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model for Software.

  • Sean Kirby

    Sean Kirby — Chief Architect

    Sean applies an exceptional grasp of software development practices and theories to direct the research and development efforts at Nulogy. In addition to introducing Nulogy to agile development practices, one of Sean's on-going projects is a byte-code manipulation tool that permits more powerful automated testing of Nulogy's software, ensuring reliable product quality on a daily basis.

  • Jason Yuen

    Jason Yuen — Chief Technology Officer

    As leader of the engineering division at Nulogy, Jason is responsible for ensuring the design, integration, and performance of Nulogy's software is of the highest calibre. Jason draws on a deep background in software development at Nortel, Airlink, and Ericsson where he developed an early demo of location-based push services over 3G networks for TELECOM 99 in Geneva.

  • Lally Rementilla

    Lally Rementilla — VP Finance & Administration

    Lally is an experienced finance and operations leader with a passion for the technology sector. Prior to joining Nulogy, Lally was Vice President Finance at Lavalife Corp. where she led the finance, business intelligence and customer service teams and also played a key role in a $152 million exit for this e-commerce/digital media company. She also has extensive experience in the telecom industry where she managed the finance and contract management teams at Lucent Technologies Canada. She sits on the board of the Information Technology Association of Canada.

  • Mehran Malek

    Mehran Malek — Director of Professional Services

    Mehran is committed to making sure he and his smart, friendly team deliver the industry's highest level of service, from business analysis, to product delivery to training. Prior to joining Nulogy, Mehran managed complex technology projects for leading providers of IP communications. At these companies he oversaw all aspects of product delivery from requirements gathering, to solution development, to testing and deployment.

    K. Donald Tham PhD, PEng.

    Dr. Tham is one of Nulogy’s founders, and is an award-winning professor with extensive experience in both academia and industry. The company's base of patent-pending technology was born out of his years of academic research, and has been tempered with a real-world practicality by his industry consulting.

  • Robert Lane

    Robert H. Lane Robert H. Lane & Associates

    Robert H. Lane has held senior positions at General Electric, Nortel, and was President of Commodore International during the successful launch of Commodore 64. He currently serves as Board member on several listed and not-for-profit companies.

  • Joe Mattel

    Joe Mattel Chief Executive Officer, Edge Consulting

    Currently the CEO of Edge Consulting, Joe Mattel previously was Canadian Country Leader for Bearing Point (NYSE:BE), formerly KPMG Consulting. He was also President and Partner at Kirchner Private Capital Group, and a past recipient of the “Top 40 Under 40” Award.

    Daniel Klass Managing Partner, Klass Capital Fund

    Daniel Klass is an experienced private equity investor with a BSC in Mathematics, MBA in Finance / Accounting, and a CPA. As a result of his true passion for the lower end of the mid market, Daniel created Klass Capital.   • David Sculthorpe

    David Sculthorpe CEO, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Ontario

    Prior to his current role, David was the President of Cadbury Adams in Canada. He brings over 24 years of experience at the head of CPG global companies throughout the Americas or leading sales and marketing efforts to profitably develop brands and innovative new products. Through his work, David has extensive experience in strategic planning, change management, process and productivity improvements, and cost reduction.

  • Ron McPhee

    Ron McPhee Partner, Retail Marketing Partners NA LLC

    Ron is the past President of Weston Foods. During his tenure from 1967-2006 at Weston, Ron was also Divisional VP, where he helped to grow a small private label company from $5M-35M profitably. He also grew a US based green-field startup joint venture with a German partner in private label for Weston. Ron is currently focused on Business Strategy and Development for Nutfarms Australia, offering fancy roasted cashews sourced in Vietnam, packaged in China, and sold in Wal-Mart across North America.

    Lucas Skoczkowski CEO, Redknee Solutions Inc.

    As Redknee's founder and first employee, Lucas has been directing the execution of Redknee’s business activities and corporate operations since 1999. Prior to Redknee, Lucas gained experience business and product development with a variety of international companies including Nortel Networks (USA, UK, Canada) and Clearnet Communications Inc. Lucas has been honored with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Information Technology sector for Ontario as well as a Top 40 Under 40 Award for Canada. Lucas serves on the Board of Directors for Redknee and 20/20 Technologies, the world's leading developer of interior design and manufacturing software.
